Mr. Estep was born October 20, 1941 in Ashland to the late Russell Vermont Estep and Martha Jackson Estep. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl E. Estep.
Mr. Estep is survived by his wife of 52 years, Johnda Johnson Estep, and two brothers, Raymond (Jill) Estep of Rantan, NJ and James (Susan) Estep of Keller, TX.

Mr. Estep grew up going to school in Ashland but the family moved to Ohio and he graduated from Reynoldsburg High School where he was a three-sport standout in baseball, basketball and football.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and stayed active playing golf, bowling and fast-pitch softball as a young adult.
He was an avid sports fan and especially loved following the Ashland Tomcats, buying season tickets to football and basketball games and attended nearly every home game for the Tomcats and Kittens until becoming too ill.
Mr. Estep was a generous friend to whomever he met and would talk sports for hours to a stranger, even offering his own opinions on what happened in recent high school, college or professional games.
A graveside service will be at 11:00am, Friday, November 2, 2018, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland with Mr. Estep’s uncle, Rev. Thomas Jackson, presiding. There will be no visitation.
